Modec Secures Officeworks Contract ~ 1st October
2008
From October 1st, 2008 Modec will provide security
preventative and corrective maintenance to all officeworks sites
nationwide. In a significant step to further expand on Modec's
nationwide
presence, Modec is exited to provide services to Officeworks and
continue to build on the existing successful business
relationship.
Modec Opens in Queensland ~ 12th August 2008
Modec is excited to announce the opening of Modec Queensland. The
establishment of Modec Queensland strengthen's Modec’s presence
along the south east coast of Australia which now extends from the
top end of Queensland down to the southern regions of Tasmania. The
Brisbane office officially commenced operations on the 12th August.
Modec Queensland is focused on providing a quality service to

After servicing Coles for over 30 years Modec is thrilled to
announce that it was successful in its bid to be the sole solution
provider of Coles Preventative Maintenance (Electrical) throughout
Victoria and Tasmania for the next 3 years. The successful bid

Modec Tasmania's Grand Opening ~ 9th May 2008
Modec Tasmania's Official Grand Opening was held this week at the
Anglesea Barracks in the presence of the TCCI, associated guests
and local businesses. The evening was a great success with Modec
sponsoring the networking event and providing guests with an
insight into Modec's operations, clients and personnel. A huge
thank you to all staff at TCCI as well as everyone that was
involved at the Anglesea Barracks for their support and generosity
throughout the evening. Modec Tasmania has already won its first
project as well as securing some key service contracts.
Modec Opens in Tasmania ~ 7th April 2008
In a historical moment Modec is proud to announce the opening of
Modec Tasmania. The Hobart
office commenced operations on the 7th April led by Tasmania State
Manager Brenden Bromfield, a dedicated and well respected local
leader.
With 13 years in the electrical industry and sound knowledge in
areas of electrical, data, fire detection, forcefield and Tecom
Brenden is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
Brenden's focus is on providing the local community, both
individuals and businesses, with a quality service at a competitive
price. Modec Tasmania will have an official Grand Opening at the
Anglesea Barracks on Tuesday 6th May which will be sponsored by
Modec and conducted in association with the TCCI.

Modec Successful at Cityside ~ 1st February 2008
It was announced today that Modec was successful in its tender for
leading Melbourne property developer Central Equity’s Cityside
Apartments. Situated in Jeffcott St West Melbourne, the Cityside
Apartments Project will commence in mid March with a completion
date of June 2009. The electrical package will be carried out by
Modec to 3 levels of combined car parking and apartments and a
further 11 levels of apartments. The successful
tender for Melbourne based builder Icon Construction sets a solid
platform for 2008.

Successful at Sandringham ~ 19th November
2007
Modec was notified this week that it was successful in its tender
for the $11.75M Sandringham Yacht Club Project.
November the 16th, 2007 marked the official commencement of
the Sandringham Yacht Club Project which is due for completion in
14 months. Aspects of the project to be carried out by Modec
include light and power (electrical), data, CCTV, lighting control
system including stage lighting and fire detection. The works will
be commissioned to the new clubhouse building, members’ bar,
restaurant, an auditorium and classroom for training purposes,
large entertainment rooms and outdoor areas for eating and
socialising. The successful tender means that Modec will continue
its flourishing business relationship with renowned builder Kane
Constructions with other recent projects including the Melton
Harness Racing Complex, Victorian Respiratory Support Services in
Thornbury and the Carbine Bar.
Modec First Past the Post at Melton ~ 25th July 2007
In exciting news Modec has been successful in securing the
electrical works tender at the multi-million-dollar Melton Harness
Racing and Entertainment Complex. The complex will be a significant
step forward for harness racing in the rapidly growing Melton
community which is due for completion in late 2008. Modec is
excited to be on board the state of the art project and is looking
forward to a commencement date in the very ne
ar future.
Modec Sydney Takes Off ~ 25th July 2007
Modec established an office in Sydney in October 2005 after several
contracted works were awarded from the head office in Melbourne.
Just 21 months down the track, Modec Sydney is in an exciting
and developing phase which now has 15 technicians servicing
New South Wales from the branch headquarters in Alexandria.
Modec Sydneys' major clients include Coles, Kmart, Paris
Technologies and In Store Technologies while a large project is
being undertaken at Eastern Creek. Modec Sydney Manager Trevor
Gardiner and Managing Director Mike O'Donnell are excited about the
prospects in New South Wales in the near future. Modec Sydney

Modec Wins Eltham Leisure Centre Project ~
7th February 2007
It was announced this week that Modec was successful in winning the
electrical works tender for the soon-to-be redeveloped Eltham
Leisure Centre. The $3.95 million dollar redevelopment will
establish the Eltham Leisure Centre as a premier health and fitness
facility in Australia. The project includes the expansion and
relocation of the health club and childcare facility, remodelling
of the entrance, reception, café and foyer area. The project
commenced on the 6th February.
Opening of the Head Office and the Launch of the new Modec
Logo ~
27th November 2006
On Monday the 27th November Modec officially opened the renovated
Head Office to over 100 loyal customers and suppliers, some of
which have been dealing with Modec for over 30 years. After a
moving tribute to the inaugural Cassar-Murray Memorial Trophy the
new and improved Modec logo was launched. The new logo and symbol
will propel Modec into the future, providing a stronger marketplace
presence with streamlined structures by a committed staff team.
Modec Management would like to thank all those that attended and
helped us celebrate the night and just a reminder that the new
showroom with a range of modern products and technologies will be
open to all visitors in the near future.

Head Office Complete ~ 7th October 2006
After almost a year since works commenced on upgrading the existing
Modec office, the new and improved Modec Head Office is now
complete. On Friday the 6th of October all management staff
relocated from 105 back to 78-86 Newlands Road, Coburg. If you're
in the area feel free to pay a visit, the new look showroom
providing an incite to the products and services we provide will be
up and running before christmas. A head office with greater
space, new look showroom and excellent facilities will
provide clients with greater opportunities with room for growth in
the future.

Wins Coles Cowes Refurbishment Project ~ 14th July 2006
In more exciting news we received feedback this week that the Coles
Cowes proposal was successful and will go ahead in the near future.
The project was due for a starting date late last year before Coles
Myer Management postponed all works on the site. The new starting
date will most likely be within the upcoming weeks.

Wins Gateway Plaza Project in Leopold ~ 4th July 2006
In very exciting news it was announced this week that Modec have
won the Gateway Plaza Project in Leopold which will include a brand
new Coles Supermarket as well as several specialty shops to
complete the precinct.
The Gateway Project is also a giant stepping stone for the future,
not only giving us the opportunity to work for one of the biggest
and most successful construction companies Probuild but it also
means that we have the personnel and the quality systems in
place to continue to quote projects
of this nature in the future. Works
on the project will commence this week!
